LadyFest, which took place from Sept. 25-26, featured singer/songwriter and filmmaker Omilani Alarcón, who presented Latinegras: Love the Skin You’re In, a documentary that highlights the Afro-Latina experience via the stories, accounts and words of multigenerational women who identify as such.

Ain’t I Latina? to host Afro-Latinas Who Rock Awards Brunch on October 3 at Taj Lounge in NYC. The awards brunch will celebrate and highlight Afro-Latinas like Nadia Lopez, Crystal Roman, Dr. Marta Moreno Vega, Zahira Kelly and Seven Brown.
